Aviation expert and analyst Kostiantyn Krylolap said during an interview with Espreso TV."Russian airfields located closer to Ukraine used to be on the front line. Now the enemy is forced to retreat to the second line. We have already pushed them back from the first, and now we are gradually pushing them from the second. For example, now Borisoglebsk serves as a training base for Su-34, where pilots are drilled. They still manage to take off, but there will come a time when we will strike there either with long-range 'Neptune' missiles or ballistic missiles, and then there will be real chaos," emphasized Krylolap.According to the aviation expert, the concept of the Russian air defense system has proven to be senseless. The Russian forces relied on modernized S-300 and S-400 systems and were heavily counting on the S-500 system, which they supposedly planned to buy."The thing is, these systems were created to intercept conventional air attacks, meaning aircraft. The Russians created many radars, guidance systems, target illumination, etc. But in practice, it doesn’t work. Ukrainian aircraft do not enter deep into their territory, but radars are easily destroyed by FPV drones, and once they are destroyed, hitting the launchers becomes a matter of time," noted Krylolap. The analyst also added that Russian S-300 and S-400 complexes are nearly ineffective against ballistic missiles. The Russians tried to address this issue with the S-500 system but failed."The S-300 and S-400 systems were supposed to be complemented by the 'Pantsir' systems, but they turned out to be clumsy. They hit the Azerbaijani aircraft, but cannot hit a drone. Russia has no other means. The Russians simply didn’t think anyone would strike them with medium-range missiles and drones. That’s why they didn’t develop these systems at all," concluded Krylolap.Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant in the Moscow region, where the Russian forces produce warheads for Shahed drones.
