143 combat clashes on front line over past 24 hours – Ukraine's General Staff

Russian forces have most frequently attacked the Lyman, Pokrovsk, Toretsk and Kursk fronts over the past day.

Quote: "As updated information indicates, yesterday (17 April – ed.) the enemy launched two missile strikes and 94 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using four missiles and dropping 151 guided aerial bombs, and deployed 3,029 kamikaze drones. In addition, the Russians carried out 6,507 artillery attacks, including 143 from multiple-launch rocket systems."

Details: On the Kharkiv front, the Russians made one unsuccessful attempt to break through near the town of Vovchansk. 

On the Kupiansk front , the Russians attacked four times. Ukrainian troops repelled assaults near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Synkivka and Zahryzove. 

On the Lyman front, Russian troops launched 20 attacks, attempting to advance near the settlements of Novovodiane, Nadiia, Nove, Novomykhailivka, Yampolivka and towards Hrekivka and Hryhorivka. 

On the Siversk front , Ukrainian forces stopped two Russian assaults near the settlements of Bilohorivka and towards Verkhniokamianske. 

On the Kramatorsk front , the Russians launched eight attacks near the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka and towards Stupochky. 

On the Toretsk front, Russian forces attacked 11 times near the settlements of Toretsk, Ozarianivka and Druzhba. 

On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian units repelled 64 Russian assaults near the settlements of Sukha Balka, Stara Mykolaivka, Zelene Pole, Vodyane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Novotoretske, Promin, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka and Andriivka. 

On the Novopavlivka front , Ukrainian troops repelled nine attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv and Pryvilne. 

On the Orikhiv front, Ukrainian forces repelled one attack near the village of Mala Tokmachka. 

In the combat zone in Russia's Kursk Oblast , a total of 21 combat clashes occurred over the past day. Russian forces launched 18 airstrikes, dropping 25 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 368 artillery attacks, eight of which involved multiple-launch rocket systems. 

On the Huliaipole and Prydniprovske fronts, the Russians did not carry out offensive actions. 

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, Ukrainian intelligence did not detect any signs of Russian assault groups being formed.
