Ukraine has officially established diplomatic relations with Somalia on 11 April, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has announced.

Quote: "Today, we officially established diplomatic relations with Somalia. I signed a relevant protocol with Somalia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali Mohamed Omar."

Details: Sybiha added that the signing took place in Türkiye during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

Quote: "We also discussed ways to develop our cooperation. Ukraine has provided assistance to Somalia as part of our Grain From Ukraine programme and is ready to continue strengthening food security. We appreciate Somalia’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity."
