Subject to ratification: President's Office details 10-year agreement with Albania

The 10year cooperation and mutual support agreement signed with Albania will require ratification and formalises support for Ukraine throughout its duration.
Source Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Presidents Office, as reported by European Pravda Details Zhovkva highlighted that the agreement with Albania was signed as part of the G7 Declaration of Support for Ukraine and marks the 28th such agreement.
Quote It has been established that Albania has already made significant military contributions to Ukraine, both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks, and will continue to meet Ukraines most urgent needs, as it did in 20222024, for the 10year duration of the agreement. More details Among the provisions, Zhovkva highlighted the possibility of Albania closing its ports to Russian vessels until Ukraines territorial integrity is restored and a just and lasting peace is achieved.
Additionally, the agreement prioritises Tiranas support for Kharkiv.
This is the third such agreement requiring ratification by both countries, making it legally binding for both Ukraine and Albania, Zhovkva emphasised.
Background As previously reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama signed the bilateral agreement on longterm cooperation and support on Tuesday, 21 January.
Under the agreement, Albania will join the socalled fighter jet coalition and assist in training Ukrainian pilots.
