German defence minister: Germany already working on Danish model options for Ukraine

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has announced that Germany is currently working on various measures inspired by the Danish model to provide direct support to Ukraines defence sector.
Source Pistorius at a press conference in Kyiv, in response to a question from European Pravda Details Asked whether Germany plans to join the Danish model, Pistorius replied that the country is working on several measures similar to the Danish model.
He said Germany is also working on developing joint ventures to enhance the Ukrainian governments ability to procure weapons for its domestic industry using funding from Western countries.
More details Pistorius emphasised that joint ventures would be a very, very effective solution for increasing cooperation.
Background In November 2023, the German government authorised the establishment of its first joint defence enterprise with Ukraine.
The Danish model originated from a memorandum signed by Ukraine and Denmark in June 2024.
Denmark was the first country to approve the procurement of weapons and equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers.
For 2025, Norway and Denmark have already allocated hundreds of millions of euros for further purchases from Ukraines defence industry under the Danish model.
