Turkish president and NATO secretary general to discuss war in Ukraine – Reuters

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoan will receive NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Ankara on Monday and will discuss the war waged by Russia against Ukraine, among other topics.
Source Reuters, citing an unnamed Turkish official, as reported by European Pravda Details Trkiye, which has condemned Russias invasion, affirms its support for Ukraines territorial integrity and provides military assistance to Kyiv.
However, the country also opposes Western sanctions against Russia, with which it has crucial defence, energy and tourism ties.
The Reuters source noted that during Mondays talks, Erdoan and Rutte will also discuss removing obstacles to defence procurement between NATO allies and the military alliances joint fight against terrorism.
Background Media reports recently suggested that Erdogans peace plan for Ukraine envisages a freeze on hostilities at the parties current positions and postponing the discussion of Kyivs accession to NATO for at least 10 years as a concession to Putin.
In addition, the Turkish president previously made it clear that he did not support the US decision to allow Ukraine to use USsupplied ATACMS missiles in Russia.
