However, the tracker does not account for classified military assistance, leading to misleading headlines claiming Europe had failed to fill the American gap.Looking ahead to 2026, Ukraine's Defense Ministry plans to secure $60 billion in external military aid while covering an additional $60 billion through domestic resources. Of the external funding, $15 billion is earmarked for American weapons purchases through the PURL program, ensuring continued access to critical U.S. defense systems even without direct government-to-government transfers.
