Ukrainian National Police says 19 people injured in Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia, posts photos showing aftermath

The police have reported that 19 civilians have been injured in a Russian airstrike on the city of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.

Details : Russian forces subjected Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding area to four strikes using guided aerial bombs (KABs) equipped with UMPK guidance kits for converting unguided bombs into precision-guided munitions between 11:30 and 12:00 on 17 December.
Two bombs hit apartment blocks, damaging homes and civilian vehicles.
A third struck an infrastructure facility, damaging production premises. Early reports indicate that three people have been injured.
The fourth aerial bomb was deliberately dropped on an area near a gymnasium – a secondary school that prepares students for higher education at university – in the Zaporizhzhia district.
The police reported that their paramedics are providing assistance to those injured. Investigative and operational teams, forensic experts, bomb disposal teams, first responders and relevant municipal services are also working at the scenes of the strikes.
Reception points have been set up at the locations of the strikes to collect reports and statements regarding property damage and other aftermath of the attack.
Criminal cases have been opened by police investigators and the Security Service of Ukraine over war crimes committed during the attack.
Background : Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration previously reported that 26 people had sustained injuries in the attack.
