On 22 July 2025, the Office of the President, with the help of members of parliament, attempted to destroy the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO). In particular, law enforcement officers, acting on orders from the Prosecutor General's Office, conducted mass searches of NABU detectives in order to create an artificial picture of alleged "ties with the Russian Federation."
