Zelenskyy instructs Foreign Intelligence Service to step up monitoring of Moscow-Beijing cooperation

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has tasked the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine with more closely tracking cooperation between Russia and China.

Details: Zelenskyy said there is increasing evidence of what is effectively the de-sovereignisation of parts of Russian territory in favour of China, primarily through the use of resource-rich land and the sale of scarce resources to China.
He added that, according to intelligence data, China is also taking steps to intensify its cooperation with Russia, including in the defence industry.
Quote: "I instructed the Foreign Intelligence Service to monitor cooperation between Moscow and Beijing more substantively – in all aspects related to Ukraine's national interests, as well as in all aspects related to the interests of our partners in Europe and the United States. Global security must not be undermined because Russia's appetite for aggression remains unabated."
