And this is a very important nuance."That is, if Ukraine officially renounces these territories itself, agreeing to give them away, then the U.S. will be able to freely recognize their status and conduct any deals with Russia. If Ukraine does not agree and does not renounce the territories, then a problem arises, because the law remains in force. And although Trump often disregards American legislation, he himself signed this law, which makes it difficult for him to abandon it," Matsuka explained.The diplomat summarized that this is precisely why such strong pressure is being exerted on the Ukrainian authorities - so that they voluntarily give up their territory.
