Russians hit high-rise residential building in Okhtyrka community: seven injured – photos

Russian forces attacked the Okhtyrka hromada in Sumy Oblast with drones on the night of 7-8 December, hitting a high-rise residential building and injuring seven civilians. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Quote from Hryhorov: "Russia attacked the Okhtyrka community with three UAVs last night. They hit a high-rise building. There are casualties: early reports indicated that five civilians had been taken to hospital and medics were providing the necessary treatment."
Details: Hryhorov said information about the condition of the residents and the scale of the damage is being confirmed.
He later updated that the number of people injured in the attack on the high-rise building had risen to seven. They have been taken to hospital. Two were admitted, while five received treatment and were discharged for outpatient care.
Quote from Hryhorov: "The building has suffered extensive damage. Some residents, hearing the threat, managed to get to the basement; others were freed from the damaged floors."
Details: Hryhorov added that an emergency response headquarters has been set up and invincibility centres are operating. [Invincibility centres are heated premises stocked with food and power banks to assist residents facing hardships due to power cuts – ed.]
Updated. As of 06:03, the State Emergency Service reported that a nine-storey residential building in the city of Okhtyrka had been hit by Russian drones.
Quote from the State Emergency Service: "Several Russian UAVs hit the roof and a wall of a high-rise residential building in Okhtyrka. A fire broke out in apartments from the first to the fourth floor."
Details: The State Emergency Service personnel evacuated 35 residents and seven people, including a child, were rescued from damaged apartments.
