• Earlier, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha confirmed to journalists in Brussels that the Ukrainian delegation had received an invitation to the United States. He also noted that Kyiv had not yet received detailed information about the content of the US-Russia talks that took place on Monday 1 December in the Kremlin, stressing that there were understandable reasons for this.
• Media had previously reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy might meet Witkoff and Kushner in Europe on Wednesday 3 December, but those plans have been cancelled.
• Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov said after talks with representatives of Trump's team that no compromise version of a plan to end the war in Ukraine has been found so far.
• Meanwhile, intelligence available to NATO has not indicated that Putin is ready for a peace agreement. The Alliance is convinced that the Kremlin leader's statements about Russia being prepared to wage war against European countries are merely bluff.
