Quote from Zelenskyy: "We continue our sanctions efforts – two new decisions have been made today."
Details: The Office of the President clarified that the president signed two relevant decrees.
"In the framework of the package synchronised with the United States, Ukraine applied sanctions against 26 Russian legal entities connected to the energy sector," the Office said. "Among them are Rosneft, its enterprises, and companies within the Lukoil Group. American sanctions hit the parts of the sector that provide around 55% of Russia's oil production."
The second decree introduces sanctions against 36 individuals and 13 legal entities involved in the production and operation of Russian drones, including persons linked to the Rubicon centre, which tests new weapon models and participates in combat against Ukraine.
In addition, sanctions were imposed:
- against Russian companies involved in the development and production of reconnaissance and strike UAVs, FPV drones and unmanned aircraft systems
- against so-called Russian charitable foundations and volunteer movements that support Russian forces
- against Russian mobile operators supplying Shahed drones with SIM cards for navigation and control.
Zelenskyy also noted that he has determined key priorities for Ukraine's sanctions policy until the end of the year, including further synchronisation with partners, preparation of the EU's 20th sanctions package and strengthening restrictions against the shadow fleet, Russian military production, collaborators and propagandists.
