Kyiv cuts number of fixed-route minibuses after Russian strike damages 70 vehicles

Kyiv has sharply reduced the number of fixed-route minibuses in service after about 70 vehicles were damaged during a Russian morning attack on 25 November 2025.

Quote: "Carriers are already working to restore services and have promised to increase the number of vehicles on routes as soon as possible."
Details: Despite the impact of the strikes, the vast majority of bus, trolleybus and tram routes are operating as normal. The situation is under control and services are responding rapidly to all challenges, the city council said.
Background:
- On the night of 24-25 November, Russian forces launched another large-scale combined attack on Ukraine, using various types of weapons. They used sea-launched cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and many drones.
- The sole logistics centre of the Novus supermarket chain, located in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district, sustained damage as a result of the Russian attack on the night of 24-25 November.
- Warehousing and production facilities belonging to the Tekstyl-Kontakt group of companies in Kyiv were also damaged in the Russian attack.
