Moldova confirms Shahed-type UAV crossing its territory en route to Romania

Moldova's Border Police have confirmed reports that its airspace was violated by a Shahed-type drone during a Russian combined air attack against Ukraine on the night of 24-25 November.

Details: The Border Police stated that the UAV was detected in the south of the country. It travelled towards Vynohradivka-Vulcănești, then flew towards the Romanian border in the area of the settlements of Colibași in the Cahul district and Vadul-lui-Isac, after which it crossed into Romania.
"The Romanian side was informed immediately," the statement reads.
The Border Police added that they are inspecting the area along the drone's flight path for potentially dangerous objects.
Background:
- Earlier, Ukraine's Air Force reported that during a large-scale combined Russian attack on 25 November, one Russian UAV may have entered Romanian territory.
- Romania has also confirmed a violation of its airspace and scrambled fighter jets in response.
- A Russian UAV likewise entered the airspace of both Moldova and Romania during the attack on the night of 18-19 November, after which Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador.
