Details : The manufacturer's CEO, Vladyslav Belbas, said that the testing programme included firing at various distances and in different modes.
"We achieved good results both in static firing and in firing on the move from different ranges," he said.
Belbas added that integrating the remote-controlled combat module turns the ground system into a fully fledged combat unit.
"The main task of the Protector UGS equipped with the Tavriia module is to maximise the protection of our soldiers' lives. The unmanned platform is operated remotely, allowing operators to carry out missions from a safe location, while the weapon can operate at a distance," he stressed.
The Tavriia-12.7 combat module is a remotely operated turret armed with a 12.7 mm Browning M2 machine gun and equipped with a digital fire-control system. It is designed for observing, detecting and engaging ground targets (armoured vehicles, other vehicles, personnel, etc.) as well as aerial targets (helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, etc.).
Protector is a modern remotely operated platform that can be adapted for a range of tasks: from logistics and engineering operations to casualty evacuation. In the summer of 2025, it became known that the Ministry of Defence had codified Protector and authorised its use by the defence forces.
Background : Back in August 2025, Ukrainian forces released a video showing the capabilities of the Protector, Ukraine's largest ground-based robotic system, produced by the defence company Ukrainian Armor.
