Ukraine begins consultations with US on 28-point "peace plan" in Switzerland

Rustem Umierov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council, has announced consultations with the US side in Switzerland on a 28-point "peace plan" prepared by Donald Trump's team.

Details: Umierov said that consultations between Ukrainian and US officials on possible parameters of a future peace agreement will begin in the coming days, without giving specific dates.
Quote: "Ukraine approaches this process with a clear understanding of its interests. This is another stage of the dialogue that has been ongoing in recent days and is primarily aimed at aligning our vision for the next steps.
We value the involvement of the American side and its readiness for a substantive discussion. Ukraine will continue to act responsibly, professionally, and consistently – as required by our national security."

- Umierov has earlier dismissed media rumours that he gave a positive assessment of the 28-point "peace plan".
