Marjorie Taylor Greene, a controversial congresswoman known for her anti-Ukrainian stance, among other things, has announced that she will step down in January.

Details: Greene, who recently fell out with Donald Trump, said she plans to resign her seat.

"If I am cast aside by MAGA Inc and replaced by Neocons, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Military Industrial War Complex, foreign leaders, and the elite donor class that can't even relate to real Americans, then many common Americans have been cast aside and replaced as well," Greene said.

"Until then I'm going back to the people I love, to live life to the fullest as I always have, and look forward to a new path ahead. I will be resigning from office with my last day being January 5, 2026," the congresswoman wrote.

Her announcement follows growing disagreements with Donald Trump. Among other things, she was one of several Republicans who signed a petition demanding a vote on releasing materials from the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Last week, Trump distanced himself from the congresswoman – once his ally and an ardent supporter – calling her a "traitor".
