Details : It is noted that this is the first joint armoured-vehicle production project for Practika and the public association League of Defence Enterprises of Ukraine with Spanish partners on the territory of the European Union.
The document focuses on combining the parties' expertise in producing specialised and military vehicles, as well as on the joint development and manufacturing of armoured vehicles in Spain for the needs of the EU, Ukraine and other partner countries.
The cooperation between Practika and the foreign companies will cover the following types of equipment: · multi-purpose military armoured vehicles · fire-support vehicles · specialised vehicles (ambulances, EW systems, command-and-staff vehicles, etc.) · non-militarised armoured platforms for demining and transporting explosive ordnance
"For us, this is a logical step — transferring the combat experience of Ukrainian armoured vehicles into joint production chains with EU partners. Cooperation with Tecnove and Escribano will allow us to strengthen Ukraine's Defence Forces while providing allies with modern, battle-tested solutions," said Practika Director Yuliia Vysotska.
The company stresses that joint projects with Western partners are seen as a tool to speed up production for the front, not to replace Ukrainian manufacturing capacity.
It is also noted that the planned joint production facility will be set up at a 25,000-square-metre industrial site in Herencia (Madrid region). Tecnove recently launched this facility specifically for defence and security solutions.
The site will host a large-unit assembly of armoured and other specialised vehicles using components manufactured at Practika's Ukrainian plants. The finished equipment will be supplied to Ukraine and to meet Spain's needs.
For Ukraine's defence industry, this project directly means: · integration of Ukrainian combat-tested solutions into European production chains; · additional opportunities to scale serial production of armoured vehicles without moving critical expertise abroad; · strengthening the position of Ukrainian private manufacturers in joint EU and NATO programmes.
Background : Earlier, it was reported that the joint Ukrainian-American venture AIRO Nord-Drone will produce drones for Ukraine and NATO. The new company will combine AIRO's manufacturing and procurement experience with Nord Drone's battle-proven technologies and European production capacities.
