Russian forces have launched strikes on energy infrastructure in several oblasts on the night of 20-21 November, and consumers in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts have been left without power as of this morning.

Details: The Ministry of Energy reported that repair work is ongoing at damaged energy facilities.

In addition, 17 settlements in Mykolaiv Oblast are without electricity due to adverse weather conditions. Power supply to all affected consumers is expected to be restored by the end of the day.

According to Ukrenergo, Ukraine's state-owned electricity transmission operator, electricity consumption remains high. On 21 November, as of 08:00, consumption was 2.1% higher than at the same time the previous day, Thursday.

Yesterday, 20 November, the daily peak of consumption was recorded during the day. It was 3.3% lower than Wednesday's peak on 19 November, which energy workers attributed to increased restrictions.

"Please limit your use of powerful electrical appliances today. If possible, postpone energy-intensive processes until the period of lowest load on the power system – after 22:00. Economical consumption of electricity will contribute to shorter forced outages," Ukrenergo emphasised.
