Details: US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and US Army Chief of Staff Randy George have become the highest-ranking Pentagon officials in US President Donald Trump's administration to visit Ukraine. They arrived this week on an unannounced visit.
The sources told Politico that starting Wednesday 19 November, they are scheduled to meet with Ukraine's military leadership, lawmakers and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is currently on a visit to Türkiye.
The sources say the pair's visit aims to bring Ukraine's leadership into peace negotiations with Russia.
The US and Ukraine are also working on a major agreement concerning the exchange of drone and autonomous munition technologies, and the visit is partly intended to support these efforts.

Dmitriev said he is optimistic about the plan's prospects, claiming that he "feels that Russia's position is truly being heard".
- Reports also indicate that Zelenskyy and Witkoff are expected to meet in Türkiye during Zelenskyy's 19 November visit.
