Military expert Dmytro Sniehyrov, co-head of the Prava Sprava civil initiative, spoke about this on the Espreso TV channel."Regarding the enemy's breakthrough in the Zaporizhzhia region, it is worth noting that, unfortunately, several factors played a role. The first is a shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, let's call a spade a spade. The second is that the 'wall of drones' tactic did not work due to difficult weather conditions. Dense fog allowed the invaders to transfer both heavy armored vehicles and personnel to make this breakthrough deep into Ukrainian territory. Currently, there is no such thing as a 'continuous line of defense'; this is not World War II with a strip of trenches. The defense is held at specific points, which allows the enemy to infiltrate small assault groups and create the threat of such breakthroughs," commented Dmytro Sniehyrov. In his opinion, the future actions of the Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction will involve attempts to break through to the Huliaipole and Orikhiv areas, with an exit towards Komyshuvakha, in order to be within firing range of the regional center. They do not have the operational reserves to encircle or besiege Zaporizhzhia. However, the Russians will use tactics of "indiscriminate terror," striking residential areas of the city with cannon artillery."The Defense Forces of Ukraine are creating the preconditions to prevent the invaders from breaking through to a distance of 10-15 km from the regional center. Near Huliaipole, the distance is 2-5 km, depending on the location of the breakthrough. It should be noted that this distance has been virtually stable in recent months. Back then, we managed to create an extremely powerful group of FPV drone operators who restrained the Russian advance in the Zaporizhzhia direction. The terrain there is a flat plain, so it is almost impossible for the enemy to conduct concealed movements of manpower and equipment. But now the Russians have taken advantage of the fog, which has led to the consequences we are seeing, but we cannot say that the front has collapsed," the military expert emphasized. On November 15, DeepState reported that Russian troops had advanced near populated areas in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.
