Ukraine's foreign minister urges partners to move from "as long as it takes" support to another approach

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has urged Kyiv's partners to move from the approach of supporting Ukraine "for as long as it takes" to one of "as strong as it gets", with a particular focus on financing drone production in the country.

Details: Sybiha said at this stage of the war, it is vital to achieve two goals: Ukraine must abandon its own illusions and strip the Russians of theirs.
He stressed that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin will be forced to end the war against Ukraine once he stops believing in the possibility of victory on the battlefield and when the cost of continuing the war outweighs the cost of ending it for Russia.
Quote: "Collectively, the international community has enough capacity to force Russia to end this war. What we need is a turn from 'as long as it takes' to 'as strong as it gets'.
The modern arms race is not about nukes – it is about millions of cheap drones. Those who can scale up production quicker will secure peace.
This requires quick and sufficient funding for Ukraine's defence industry, which is now the greatest source of defence innovation in the world. We can produce up to 20 million drones next year if we get sufficient funding."
