Zelenskyy announces personnel changes in energy sector amid audit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he had held a meeting with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko on further steps to clean up and reboot the management of the energy sector and related institutions, and announced upcoming personnel decisions.

Quote: "First – I instructed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine [Ukrainian government] to submit to the Verkhovna Rada [Ukrainian parliament] an urgent draft law on the renewal of the composition of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission."
Details: Zelenskyy said the leadership of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate and the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate will be renewed. He also instructed the prime minister to submit to parliament a nomination for the new head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
Quote: "Fourth – in full coordination with law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies, to ensure the renewal of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and to promptly complete the competition for the position of head of ARMA so that the new head of the Agency can be selected by the end of this year."
Details: He added that an audit must be carried out promptly, with preparations to begin for the sale of assets and shares belonging to Russian entities and collaborators who fled to Russia.
