Military observer Vasyl Pekhnio stated this on Espreso TV."The Russian army aims to achieve tactical goals across the front, preparing for winter and establishing bases for future attacks. Their advance in the Huliaipole area would allow them to target our supply lines, similar to what they're doing elsewhere. Russian drone units, particularly strong, have impacted Pokrovsk, and there are reports of them moving to Zaporizhzhia. The number of drones on the Lyman front has also increased. While not qualitatively superior, their strength lies in sheer numbers," noted Vasyl Pekhnio.Pekhnio believes Russia's main advantages are its large number of personnel and financial resources. Units like Rubikon are examples of their systematic approach to scaling successful technological forces, supported by the central government, to influence the front."Rubikon is currently carrying out its second successful operation of 2025. The first was in Sudzha, Kursk, and the second is now near Pokrovsk. This unit is reportedly being deployed to Zaporizhzhia and is also active in the Lyman and Vovchansk areas. This indicates that the enemy has found a systematic way to impact the front, and we need to find a countermeasure. This is a significant challenge for us in the near future: how can our state systematically counter their technological forces?" the military observer explained. He added that these Russian technological forces create openings in our defenses, allowing their numerous infantry to continuously infiltrate."We don't yet have fully effective ways to stop this, though solutions are emerging. Strategically, finding a solution to this challenge is a major problem. Julian Röpcke from BILD suggests the Russians have broken through the front in Zaporizhzhia, but that's not entirely accurate. It's more about infiltration, seepage, and slow absorption, which we currently lack a countermeasure for," Pekhnio concluded. On November 11, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported an increase in Russian assaults in the Pokrovsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, while Ukrainian forces achieved success in Kupiansk.
