Ukraine's commander-in-chief emphasises scaling up Unmanned Systems Forces – best results from FPV drones and heavy bombers

Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has reiterated the priority of scaling up Unmanned Systems Forces.

Quote: "The priority scaling of unmanned systems units is delivering concrete results – the number of enemy targets destroyed is increasing. Thus, in October our unmanned aviation complexes struck 77,000 enemy targets. The best combat performance was demonstrated by FPV drones and heavy bombers.
We are actively expanding ground robotic complexes. As kill-zones expand, they become an integral element of modern technological warfare. The primary task of using GRCs [Ground Robotic Complexes – ed.] is to preserve the lives of personnel."
Details: Syrskyi said the logistical role of ground unmanned complexes is also growing: in October they delivered almost 300,000 kg of provisions to defence units. Evacuation of the wounded, mine clearance and combat employment are also current realities of their use at the front.
The general reiterated that the Russians are copying Ukrainian experience, including creating regiments of unmanned systems and interceptor drones, and are directing significant resources to this. He therefore stressed the need for constant improvement to maintain technological advantage.
Quote: "Particular attention is being paid to scaling up the Unmanned Systems Forces: increasing the number of trained crews, mobilising personnel and creating the infrastructure for their effective operation."
