Quote: "Work to deal with the consequences of previous large-scale missile and drone attacks on the power system is ongoing. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore the operation of damaged equipment as quickly as possible."
Details: Energy workers recalled that consumption restriction measures are being applied due to the consequences of Russian attacks throughout 10 November. Hourly outage schedules of between two and four queues will be in place in most regions until the end of the day. '[Ukrenergo defines a "queue" as a group of consumers and businesses using a specific amount of megawatts. The Dispatch Centre sets the number of queues needed across oblasts to address energy deficits. Critical infrastructure and industrial companies that import over 80% of their energy cannot be disconnected, according to a Ukrainian Cabinet resolution – ed.]
In the regions where hourly power cuts are applied, power limitation schedules for industry and business will also be in force.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption remains high. On 9 November, the daily consumption peak was recorded in the evening. It was 1.9% higher than the previous day, Saturday.
"Given the weather conditions and the consequences of Russian attacks, the need to use electricity sparingly will remain throughout the day. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances and move energy-intensive processes to nighttime, when the load on the power system is the lowest," the company urged.
Background: On Monday 10 November, electricity consumption restriction measures will be applied in certain regions of Ukraine.
