Zelenskyy vows to prevent Russia from selling oil to Hungary

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will try to negotiate the purchase of Russian energy resources during his meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Details: Zelenskyy said he is confident that Orbán will raise energy issues during his visit to Trump.
The Ukrainian leader also said that Orbán will "do everything possible" to ensure that Hungary's oil dependence on Russia is not affected.
He stressed that Ukraine cannot allow Russia to profit from its energy sector.
"We will not allow the Russians to sell oil there [to Hungary]. It's a matter of time. It's a matter of our position," Zelenskyy emphasised.
Background:
- Recent media reports indicated that Orbán is seeking an exemption for Hungary from US sanctions against Russian companies Rosneft and Lukoil and has prepared a "large-scale energy proposal" for the United States.
