Latvia boosts Ukraine's defense with 21 additional Patria armored carriers

The Latvian Defense Ministry reported the information.On Wednesday, November 5, Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds is hosting Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, who arrived in Latvia to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense.The next day, Shmyhal will receive the latest batch of Latvian Patria 6x6 armored personnel carriers at the military base in Ādaži."The donation of Latvian-made armored personnel carriers is significant support for the defenders of Ukraine and an opportunity to test the strength and capabilities of Latvian armored vehicles in real combat conditions," Sprūds emphasized.The Ukrainian Armed Forces will also receive spare parts, special repair tools and equipment necessary for the maintenance of the armored personnel carriers, as well as a container-type mobile repair workshop and maintenance documentation.Repair kits for eliminating combat damage to the armored personnel carriers will also be supplied.
