This is stated on the website of the EU Council."Ukraine is set to receive over €1.8 billion in funding after the Council adopted a decision on the fifth regular disbursement of support under the EU's Ukraine Facility," the statement says. The allocated amount is the result of Ukraine's successful implementation of nine necessary steps to receive the fifth tranche, as well as one from the previous - fourth tranche. The funds are intended to support macro-financial stability and the proper functioning of public administration.Earlier, European Pravda reported that, according to a source, the ambassadors of the European Union countries agreed to provide this tranche on October 29 during a meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper). The fifth payment is made within the framework of the overall Ukraine Facility program, the volume of which is 50 billion euros. The receipt of funds is linked to Ukraine's fulfillment of a number of reform conditions. In early October, the Verkhovna Rada adopted two important European integration bills - on the creation of a payment agency in the agricultural sector and on ensuring legality and transparency in the work of local self-government bodies. These changes are part of Ukraine's obligations to the EU for further financial support. On August 8, the EU Council adopted a decision to provide Ukraine with another tranche under the Ukraine Facility program.
