Diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi shared his opinions on Espreso TV.“We don’t actually know the real state of Russia’s nuclear potential. All these strategic arms reduction treaties — START I, II, and III — showed that Russia and the Soviet Union overfulfilled the warhead disposal plans listed in the registry,” he said.According to Bezsmertnyi, this means those warheads were taken off combat duty.“There was a choice — to either dispose of them or modernize them. Russia’s ability to modernize these nuclear warheads is clearly limited, especially now. Honestly, it’s disappointing that neither in the Pentagon nor around Donald Trump are there people who can explain to him what is really happening in this situation,” the diplomat concluded.Earlier, it was reported that Russia tested the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile. The launch took place from the Novaya Zemlya archipelago in the Arkhangelsk region of the Russian Federation, in the Arctic Ocean.
