The Center for Countering Disinformation wrote this on its Telegram channel."Russian propaganda has launched another video fake aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Enemy Telegram channels are spreading a recording showing a 'Ukrainian serviceman' tied to a tree. The man in the video claims that the command punished him 'for drunkenness' in this way," the report says. The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that this video is fake – deepfake detection services confirmed that the man's face in the frame was altered using artificial intelligence. The Center notes that the purpose of such messages is to undermine trust in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and disrupt mobilization processes in Ukraine. In particular, propagandists are trying to create an illusion of 'chaos' and 'cruelty' in the Ukrainian army."Similar 'punishments' are a common practice precisely in the Russian army. Videos have been repeatedly published online where Russian soldiers are tied up and beaten for disciplinary offenses," the Center for Countering Disinformation added. On October 8, the Center for Countering Disinformation reported that Russian propaganda spread a fake that Ukrainian soldiers near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region allegedly were left without food and water and refused to participate in hostilities.
