Valerii Romanenko, an aviation expert and leading researcher at the State Aviation Museum, stated this on Espreso TV."Regarding enemy cruise missiles, 4 out of 5 are shot down. The situation is worse with ballistic missiles. In September, the Russians launched 23 ballistic missiles at Ukraine, and in October - 103, which is 4.5 times more. Ballistic missiles are much harder for us to shoot down because we have about a dozen Patriots that can work against them. The Russians, firstly, are increasing the number of ballistic strikes, and secondly, they are trying to hit places where they are sure there are no Patriots. The most threatening situation is with Russian ballistic missiles," the aviation expert commented.Romanenko added that Russia had been accumulating ballistic missiles throughout the summer and also noted that the launch of 103 missiles is almost double Russia's monthly missile production.Earlier, General Ihor Romanenko, founder of the Close the Sky of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, said that Russia had modified ballistic missiles by adjusting the software, after which the effectiveness of destroying enemy modified ballistic missiles by Ukrainian Patriot batteries fell from 42% to 6%.
