This was reported in a response from the Main Directorate of Communications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to an inquiry by Espreso TV.“Based on the results of a professional analysis, it has been established that the maps shown by Colonel Valentyn Manko on TikTok do not disclose the spatial or temporal details of operations (combat actions) conducted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, nor do they reveal the units involved. The information displayed on the maps and diagrams does not constitute a leak of restricted data, including due to the significant delay in their publication,” the response stated.Earlier, the Main Directorate of Communications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that they would be able to determine whether the photographs published by Colonel Valentyn Manko, head of the Assault Troops Directorate, contained restricted information only after an expert on state secrecy conducted an assessment.“According to the conclusions of the relevant experts, the TikTok post does not contain critical, sensitive, or restricted information that could be used by enemy intelligence or result in the loss of personnel, weapons, or equipment, nor does it disclose any plans, intentions, status, or positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other components of the Defense Forces,” the Main Directorate of Communications assured.Colonel Valentyn Manko, head of the Assault Troops Directorate, had posted a photo with a dog on social media that showed military maps and a tablet, sparking controversy. Activist Serhiy Sternenko claimed that the maps in the photo were marked “secret.” However, Manko himself insisted that the image showed a regular Google Map on which he had personally made some notes.
