Details: Putin said that both the meeting and the venue had been proposed by the US, and he had agreed, but allegedly insisted that such meetings require "proper preparation" and that "it would have been a mistake to come out of the meeting without the expected result".
According to Putin, US President Donald Trump decided to postpone the summit. Putin claimed that Russia supports continuing the dialogue, adding that "dialogue is always better than confrontation, disputes or war".
