The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reported the information.According to the investigation, a married couple and their two sons were sheltering from shelling in the basement of their private home when Russian soldiers broke in and demanded information about Ukrainian defenders. After receiving no answers, one of the occupiers returned and opened fire on the unarmed civilians.The father and elder son died on the spot. The younger son and two neighbors — a 62-year-old woman and her 30-year-old son — were later killed by Russian troops in a nearby house.A local woman, wounded in the face, managed to reach Ukrainian-controlled territory. Her testimony provided investigators with critical evidence confirming the execution and other violations committed by the occupiers.Prosecutors have opened pre-trial proceedings under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of the laws and customs of war, resulting in the death of civilians.Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office emphasized that “every crime committed by the Russian army will be investigated, and every perpetrator will be identified and brought to justice.”Freedom TV journalist Olena Hubanova and cameraman Yevhen Karmazin were killed in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, by a strike from a Russian Lancet drone.
