He made this statement on Telegram.“Chernihiv and Sumy regions – recovery efforts are now ongoing everywhere after Russian strikes on our energy infrastructure. They even used FPV drones to attack transformers in the Zaporizhzhia region,” the president noted. He stressed that when Russian leader Vladimir Putin felt the threat from Tomahawk missiles, he showed readiness for diplomacy.“But as soon as the pressure eased slightly, the Russians began trying to weasel out of diplomacy and delay the dialogue. Russia’s tactic is killing people and terror through cold. On the eve of winter, the Russians are striking our infrastructure and energy facilities literally every day. Only pressure on Russia can fix this and stop it,” Zelenskyy stated.Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha urged allies to mobilize additional support following the attack on Ukraine’s energy sector.“Putin pretends to be ready for diplomacy and peace negotiations, while in reality this night Russia launched a brutal missile and drone attack on Ukraine’s Chernihiv and Sumy regions... While our energy response teams are working to restore power, I once again call on all of our partners in Europe and beyond to urgently mobilize additional assistance for Ukraine’s resilience: from energy equipment to energy sources and air defense capabilities,” he wrote on X.During the night of October 21, Russian forces launched attack drones and guided bombs across Ukraine. Nine people were injured in Kharkiv, and parts of the Chernihiv region were left without power.
