RBC-Ukraine reported the information.Zelenskyy emphasized that the scale of the war in Ukraine is different from other conflicts around the world.“I don’t want to belittle or exaggerate any country, but we cannot compare what is happening in the Middle East with what is happening here. This is an entirely different scale of war. It’s a different story,” he stressed. The president also reminded that the Ukrainian army has been resisting a much stronger enemy for over three years, making a quick end to the war difficult. However, according to Zelenskyy, conditions have recently emerged for real progress toward peace.“We have moved closer to a possible end to the war. I can tell you this for sure. That doesn’t mean it will definitely end, but President Trump has achieved a lot in the Middle East, and he now wants to end Russia’s war against Ukraine on that wave,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized. He noted that a strong political demand for ending the war is forming in international negotiations."That's his — and the world's — mood: let's throw everything we've got now and finish Russia's war against Ukraine," the president urged.Zelenskyy added that Ukraine is actively leveraging this momentum, increasing pressure on Russia through both military and diplomatic means.“We are taking steps in this spirit — Tomahawks and so on — and these are new measures that are truly pressuring Russia,” he concluded. As of the evening of October 19, U.S. President Donald Trump had not given a final response to Ukraine’s request to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles.
