The leadership of the United States and personally President Donald Trump made peace in the Middle East possible. This is the kind of vision the world — and Ukraine in particular — needs today. We also discussed the steps that could compel Russia to end its war” the statement said.The Ukrainian delegation also separately thanked Rubio.“The American people are truly fortunate to have such a strong and principled Secretary of State,” Yermak wrote.Ahead of his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed confidence that the United States can help bring the war with Russia closer to an end.At the same time, Trump urged the Russian leader Vladimir Putin to stop killing Ukrainians and Russians.
