Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, reported the information on Espreso TV.“This happens when not only military vehicles are hidden in supermarket parking lots, but something else is also stored in the warehouses. It’s a typical tactic of the Russians — using civilian facilities, including parking areas and warehouses, for military purposes,” said Andriushchenko.According to him, this tactic is common in temporarily occupied cities such as Donetsk, Luhansk, and Horlivka. In this case, it concerns a former Auchan supermarket, seized and renamed Sigma by the Russian-installed administration.“This hypermarket was also used to store certain equipment for military use. It’s another example of the human shield tactic, when military sites are disguised as civilian infrastructure,” Andriushchenko added. The Ukrainian Special Operations Forces and the SBU carried out drone strikes on an oil terminal in temporarily occupied Feodosia and on several power plants in Crimea.
