Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has discussed with US President Donald Trump ways to strengthen Ukraine's air defence capabilities.

Quote: "I have spoken with US President Donald Trump. It was a good and very productive conversation. I congratulated President Trump on his success and the Middle East agreement he has truly secured – it is a strong result. And if it is possible to stop a war in that region, it means that other wars can also be stopped, including this Russian war.

I briefed President Trump on Russian strikes against our energy infrastructure. I am grateful for his readiness to support us. We have discussed ways to reinforce our air defences and the agreements we are preparing in this regard. There are good options and strong ideas on how to strengthen us in real terms."

Details: Zelenskyy said that Russia must be ready to engage in genuine diplomacy.
