Russian forces launched 112 drones on the night of 8-9 October. Ukraine's defence forces have managed to down 87 UAVs, but hits at 12 locations have been recorded.

Quote: "Early reports indicated that as of 09:00, air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 87 enemy Shahed and Gerbera UAVs and drones of other types in the country's north, south and east."

Details: Hits by 22 UAVs have been recorded at 12 locations.

The attack is still ongoing as several Russian drones are in the airspace.

The Russians launched strikes using the drones of Shahed, Gerbera and other types from their cities of Millerovo, Kursk, Shatalovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk on the night of 8-9 October (from 19:00 on 8 October).

Of the 112 drones, over 70 were Shaheds.

The attack is being repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.
