Czech parliamentary elections: SPOLU-led coalition and Babiš’s ANO neck and neck

By 4:50 p.m., results from 46% of polling stations had been processed, according to official data published on the government portal Volby.cz.The ruling pro-European coalition—composed of SPOLU (“Together”), Mayors and Independents (STAN), and the Pirate Party—has so far secured 38.13% of the vote. SPOLU leads with 20.10%, followed by STAN with 10.53% and the Pirates with 7.50%.Close behind is the opposition populist ANO movement, led by pro-Russian billionaire Andrej Babiš, with 38.58%. Babiš has aligned his stance on Ukraine with that of Slovakia’s and Hungary’s current leadership.The electoral threshold is set at 5%.
