Quote: "Today, there was another Russian strike on our gas infrastructure: just before the heating season, the Russians are looking for ways to cause more damage to our people. In this single strike alone, on gas facilities, there were 35 missiles, including ballistic ones. It was a combined attack, and only half of the missiles were intercepted.

The situation in Chernihiv Oblast is difficult after drone strikes – in Slavutych, in Nizhyn, and also in Chernihiv itself. And in Sumy Oblast. In the evening, there was also a ballistic strike on Donetsk Oblast – again on energy facilities. Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Druzhkivka – restoration continues."
Details: Zelenskyy added that he expects greater results from the military command responsible for drones, air defence and the protection of north-eastern regions.
He also received reports about Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory and announced that the range of such operations against Russia will increase.
Quote: "There were also reports today on our entirely just strikes on Russian facilities – on their logistics and fuel sector. I am grateful to our warriors for their accuracy. Russia chooses war, Russia destroys the lives of our people, and it must be held accountable – our range will increase.
Russia is importing petrol, and from different geographies: from Asia, from China and other countries, and from Europe, including Belarus. This is one of the results of Putin's war – the petrol station country is not selling but importing petrol."
Background: On the evening of 3 October, Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, reported that part of Donetsk Oblast was left without power due to Russian strikes, in particular Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka and parts of Kramatorsk.
