Details: According to Ahrenkiel, Danish defence intelligence believes that Russia is currently waging a hybrid war against the Scandinavian state as well as the West.

Ahrenkiel told reporters this means that Russia is using aggressive military means to put pressure on Denmark without crossing the line of armed conflict.
He stated that Russia wants to create uncertainty and internal divisions among allies to stop them from supporting Ukraine and prevent them from making decisions that are against their interests and would further harm Russia's economy.
Ahrenkiel said that Russia employs tactics against Denmark that would have been considered unthinkable prior to the full-scale war in Ukraine.
In response, Denmark wishes to demonstrate military strength without engaging in direct armed conflict, the head of intelligence said.
The appearance of unknown drones caused a temporary shutdown of six Danish military and civilian airports last week. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen labeled it a hybrid attack against the country.
Background:
Earlier this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine has sent a mission to Denmark to share combat expertise in downing hostile drones.
