The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) reported the information.According to Kremlin-appointed Gauleiter Mikhail Razvozhayev, turnout reached around 67%, and he reportedly received over 81% of the vote. However, the Yellow Ribbon movement, a resistance movement in the occupied territories of Ukraine, says the city’s residents largely boycotted the vote, leaving polling stations almost empty.“It is clear that the inflated figures of support for the Kremlin’s Gauleiter Razvozhayev are fabricated. Even with the help of Russians relocated to Crimea during the occupation, the Kremlin cannot secure genuine backing for its puppets,” the CCD statement said. The center added that Russia is using such staged events to “create the illusion of democratic processes in Crimea.”"These ‘elections’ are illegal. They are not recognized by Ukraine or the international community, and their conduct is yet another attempt by Russia to legalize the occupation of Crimea and impose on the world a picture of ‘normal life’ under Russia’s control. The reality is quite different: repression, isolation, and total control over the population," the center concluded. On September 14, Russia held a so-called “single voting day,” during which the Russian-installed authorities organized “supplementary elections” for city council members. Voting also took place in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, including Crimea and Sevastopol.
