We are in an extremely difficult situation: before us are two choices, both grave, either the continuation of war or an attempt to reach an understanding with our enemy. We know that immense forces across the world are working to stop the Russians. President Trump has repeatedly sent signals that he wants peace. But Putin does not, he only pretends to.It is clearly a horrible situation. Too many people are dying. This is a war waged by a warlord named Vladimir Putin, who seeks to re-establish the Soviet Union by taking over large parts of the region and reasserting dominance there. At the same time, President Trump, together with our NATO allies and European partners, is working around the clock to end this senseless war. You are absolutely right. In the next couple of weeks, it may either come to an end with a ceasefire and a trilateral meeting between President Zelensky, President Putin, and President Trump where they reach an agreement, or it will escalate, which would not be good for Russia or the Russian Federation. If escalation happens, the United States, alongside our European friends, will be forced to unleash the full might of the U.S. military. That is the outcome we do not want to see. But the stage is being set. And for those of us who believe in the power of prayer, we hold on to the hope that this will end in a peace deal rather than further escalation of the war.It feels as though the world is on the brink of a Third World War. This is a global story, yet here in Ukraine we endure constant suffering: civilians are being killed, Russian forces strike our cities and take the lives of innocent people, not only soldiers. I want to thank you for coming to Ukraine and seeing it with your own eyes. It is so important to tell the world what you have witnessed.Well, the devastation is overwhelming. More than 700 religious institutions have been intentionally destroyed by the Russian Federation, because they believe that by destroying the churches they will destroy the faith and the will of the Ukrainian people. Over 20,000 children have been kidnapped. Our First Lady, Melania Trump, even wrote a letter directly to Vladimir Putin regarding the children, calling: Bring back our children. These are atrocities that I have witnessed. The war crimes in Bucha were devastating. I saw them firsthand. The white bandanas there signified that people were non-combatants, not soldiers. Yet the Russian Federation used those same white bandanas to tie the hands of innocent women, elderly men, and even children, and then executed them with shots to the back of the head. The bombs continue to fall. Just a couple of weeks ago, while I was in Ukraine, I saw it myself. I was deeply honored to receive the Order of Merit, third class, from your president. But during Independence Day, only two hours after I left my hotel, the bombs started again. While General Kellogg and I were present, they did not bomb. But as soon as we left, the attacks resumed. That angered me deeply. My message to the president has always been clear. Every act of evil, every crime, every devastation caused by the Russian Federation has convinced me that our great and powerful president, Donald Trump, is right to act as he is acting now. He has made it very clear: if Russia does not agree to a peace deal, the consequences for Russia will be severe. You are right, we are on the verge of World War III. A new axis of evil is forming—China, India, North Korea, and Russia all aligning together. It is disappointing that India is among them, and especially disappointing that Prime Minister Modi, a personal friend of President Trump, has chosen this path. But the president has made it very clear: we will not be moved. This is about to come to a head. My prayer is that we reach a peace deal as quickly as possible, that the deaths stop, that the sovereignty of Ukraine continues to grow, and that the Ukrainian economy continues to strengthen. Ukraine belongs to Ukraine and will never belong to Russia. That is why President Trump is positioning two nuclear submarines in the region.Even now, Germany has promised billions of dollars for Ukraine’s war effort. NATO allies and our European friends are surrounding Ukraine because we are drawing a line in the sand. We will not allow Russia to advance any further. If we do not stop Russia in Ukraine, we will be forced to stop them in Moldova or in one of the Baltic states. That would trigger Article 5. We must stop them now. I have made sure the president, the White House, and the State Department know exactly what I saw firsthand, and I believe that has played a small part.I do not seek any credit, because the president has great advisors like General Kellogg, who are working tirelessly behind the scenes. I have been in direct communication with him as well, sharing what must be done to reach a peace deal.I believe the power of God is with us. To my Orthodox, Baptist, evangelical, and Jewish brothers and sisters in Ukraine: hold fast. Help is surely on the way. I myself was once against involvement in the Ukrainian war. But now, having seen the devastation, having met the beautiful people of Ukraine, and having seen the Azov soldiers, I know the truth. They are not terrorists, as Russia claims. They are not racists or neo-Nazis. They are patriots who believe in their country, just as we believe in ours here in the United States. They deserve to be treated under the Geneva Conventions as prisoners of war.So bring the Azov soldiers home, bring every Ukrainian soldier home, and let us end this war as quickly as possible. You have described the situation vividly, but the keys to peace remain in the Kremlin. Putin keeps reaching for the axe of war and searching for allies. He has come to understand that the entire world stands with Ukraine – Europe, the United States, and global leaders such as Macron, Keir Starmer, Merz, and Trump. In a particularly important speech, the American president said that his view of the war is that he wants to stop it so that he may enter heaven. He said: I may be at the back of the line to heaven, but I want to end this war. The question is, how ready is he to act? We have heard many words and many interpretations. But you know Donald Trump – tell us, what kind of man is he?The president loves people. He wants to see evil come to an end. He wants to see innocent Ukrainians stop dying. He wants the war to end immediately. Knowing him well, I can say he truly loves and cares for people. This is not just a job for him, it is a calling from God. We all know that the only way to heaven is through the Lord Jesus Christ. The president often jokes about how to get to heaven, but he knows it is not through works. He understands that the only way is through faith, by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, which he has done. That is why he fights for the voiceless. The president has made it clear: his patience with Putin has ended. We are at the end of our rope. The president opened the door for Vladimir Putin to come to Alaska, not to entertain him, but to remind him of the strength and power of the United States military, to demonstrate what we are still capable of. Just because peace talks have been attempted does not mean weakness – this is what diplomats, good diplomats, are meant to do. That is what President Trump is doing. He loves peace, he loves people, and he wants to see all nations prosper and do well. From the richest man in the world to the poorest, he has a heart for people. That is why he is doing everything possible to end this war.We do not want to attack Moscow. We do not want to bomb areas where innocent Russians live. Tragically, many of them have been brainwashed by the Russian Orthodox Church, which has made it easier to justify killing Ukrainians. That is not a religion, that is a cult. They are hiding behind people’s religious practices to act as an arm and extension of the Kremlin, to justify killing innocent children who are simply walking to church for an Easter celebration, while bombing churches, assassinating pastors, and murdering leaders. The Russian Orthodox Church is blessing that evil. They should be ashamed and called out for what they are helping to promote. The reality is that Ukraine is stronger than ever. The United States of America is stronger than ever. We have the greatest president of our lifetime, and I need my Ukrainian brothers and sisters to boldly stand with President Trump and not speak against what he is working to achieve. He is pursuing diplomacy. But if Russia does not truly stop its bombing, then President Trump will be forced to unleash the full might of the United States military. That is not our aim – we are desperately trying to avoid it.From President Zelensky, with whom I have had wonderful one-on-one conversations, to the leaders and generals of Ukraine doing everything in their power to end this war, all of us are striving for peace. But if diplomacy fails, then yes, we expect our European friends, together with the United States of America, to stop acting like a mouse and become the elephant we are – strong enough to crush the Russian Federation’s will to wage war and finally bring peace. This is what President Trump always meant by peace through strength. But peace is our desire. As a man of God, as a pastor, as someone who loves peace, I want the weapons to be laid down. But if Russia refuses, then we will have to bring down the hand of God and strike our enemies until they submit and stop destroying and killing innocent Ukrainians.A hundred years ago, British Prime Minister David Lloyd George said that world leaders looked on as millions of people slipped into the boiling cauldron of war. Millions died then. From 1939 to 1945, tens of millions more lost their lives. Does the Trump administration have a vision for how to shape global affairs? We understand that using force against China may not work, as Xi Jinping meets with Putin, Kim Jong Un, and others, signaling that China intends to impose a new global order. Putin seeks to claim Central Europe. More and more, I find myself recalling the words of John the Apostle in his Revelation. You are absolutely correct, and this is exactly what so many of us are trying to prevent. It is pointing directly to World War III. President Trump saw this far ahead of most people. While some thought he was being soft on Russia, that is not true. He is no friend of Russia, and he is no friend of Vladimir Putin. He respects him as a leader, but he is not aligned with him. No sanctions placed on Russia by the United States have been lifted. We do not do business with Russia.Right now, we are in a tariff war with one of our strategic partners, India. They are facing a 50% tariff. Their economy, with a GDP of $4.4 trillion, cannot sustain the loss of access to the U.S. market, which is valued at $32–34 trillion. Even though India is the second largest democracy in the world, they cannot match the power of the American economy. They need access to our markets. Russia and China cannot sustain India’s losses if America closes its markets, and most nations understand this reality. The point I make to my Ukrainian brothers and sisters is this: look at the seriousness with which President Trump approaches even our own partners. If he is willing to impose tariffs on allies like India, imagine how firm he will be against our adversaries. China is not America’s friend. They are enemies of our markets, enemies of democracy, and they seek to dominate the world. That is why Russia, Iran, North Korea, India, and China are bundling together to form BRICS. Their aim is to weaken and eventually destroy what President Trump has rightly called the almighty dollar. What is President Trump going to do?We will close off our markets to the rest of the world for those who continue to destroy and attack the innocent people of Ukraine. That is phase one. It is already working in some areas. Some, like India, are trying to be stubborn, but Prime Minister Modi will not be able to sustain this forever. His economy is already struggling, collapsing under pressure, and they are desperately looking for support elsewhere.Russia’s economy is collapsing as well, and that is even before the secondary sanctions that are just around the corner. The president has been doing his best to avoid having to activate them, but the time is near. Military force is our last resort, but make no mistake – President Trump is not just a man of words. He is a man of action. And he has been turning over every stone in the pursuit of diplomacy to try to prevent World War III from happening, because that is exactly where this could lead. But if it does happen, and I said this to many of your leaders in Ukraine while I was in Kyiv, if it does happen, we know that more people are going to die before it ends.So we are doing our best to make the killing stop through diplomacy, through sanctions that are about to be activated against Russia. Every report I am hearing from the House and the Senate is that we are very close to passing secondary sanctions that will cripple Russia’s economy and make it impossible for them to continue waging war, unless they receive support from nations like China. In the end, we may be forced to wage real war in Moscow. That is not what we want, but we will do it if they refuse to come to heel. This sends a strong signal to the world that we will not allow tyrants and bullies to attack or destroy smaller nations simply because they can. That is not good for humanity, and it is not good for the will of people around the world. Every nation deserves sovereignty. Every nation deserves the right to govern itself without the threat of being crushed by another nation’s force. The path must always begin with diplomacy. That is President Trump’s goal. But if diplomacy fails, trust me, my brothers and sisters, knowing the president for over twelve years, being in his inner circle long before he ever announced his candidacy, I can tell you he is not a man who bluffs. He is a man of action, and he will unleash the full might of the United States military. That is why the United States State Department and the Department of Defense are preparing for changes, even considering returning to the name Department of War, as it was during World War II. These are strong signals to the world that President Trump is not a man of words alone. He is prepared to act. The United States will use its full strength to wage war if necessary, to defend the defenseless. And let me be very clear: Ukraine is not defenseless. Ukraine is stronger than ever. The will of Ukraine is stronger than ever. That is why when we declare Slava Ukraini, we mean it with power, with vigor, and with conviction. It is not just a phrase – it is a war cry for all of us who stand behind a sovereign Ukraine.Putin has repeatedly tried to mock Donald Trump. Trump was sincere, while Putin used those moments to show off his own toughness. Sooner or later, Trump will respond, but where exactly are the red lines for him and his team? J.D. Vance, Keith Kellogg, Steve Witkoff, and others, who are they? Witkoff has traveled to Moscow many times, saying that Putin could be reasoned with. Could it be that, in doing so, he put Donald Trump in a vulnerable position?Right. The red lines are clear. The bombing must stop. There must be a trilateral meeting with President Trump, President Zelenskyy, and President Putin, in a place where real negotiations can take place to bring about a ceasefire.I have spoken with officials in the State Department, the White House, the Office of the President in Kyiv, and with several of your generals. We are all in agreement on how this war can come to an end. Everyone is saying the same thing. The only person refusing to come to the table is Vladimir Putin. In the end, the red line is that the president has given a two-week deadline.About Ukraine, the president has said we are watching closely, but a final deadline has been given to Vladimir Putin to come to the table, to sit down with President Zelensky, and to begin real peace negotiations. If that does not happen—God forbid—then the consequences will be grave.More Ukrainians will die, more innocent Russians will die, and people from around the world will be drawn into a conflict that could end with the destruction of the Russian Federation. That would mean millions more lives lost. We are trying to prevent that from happening. That is the very last resort. But the red line is simple.Vladimir Putin is not coming to the table. He continues to refuse, regardless of the direct messages President Trump has delivered to him. President Trump is not a soft or weak man – far from it.He is bold, confident, and strong-willed. He reminds me of the kind of leaders who stepped up in moments of great crisis, the ones who made their point clear without hesitation. That is exactly how President Trump speaks to Vladimir Putin when the cameras are off – directly, firmly, and without pulling any punches. In the end, the president will put a stop to this killing. You can be certain this war will end. My prayer is that it will end with the Russian Federation still intact as it is today. But if that is not the case, then it will be Vladimir Putin’s own doing – his failure to come to the table when he had the chance. That is what President Trump is working toward. That is also what Steve Witkoff and General Kellogg are working toward: peace and long-lasting security for Ukraine. We must arm Ukraine to the teeth. We want Ukraine to own the skies above its land, to command the air so completely that no one will ever again dare to attack the sovereign nation of Ukraine. How do Americans view Ukrainians and Ukraine today? We are in great distress, losing lives every day – soldiers and civilians alike. After the meeting in Alaska, Russian forces once again struck our cities, and this has become a constant reality. Have American hearts grown indifferent, or do they still feel the weight of our suffering? Do they sense that we stand close to them? And how will the U.S. administration approach us? Will it be with partnership, with brotherhood, or from a position of superiority?I can tell you firsthand, when I first went to Ukraine, nobody was really talking about Ukraine at the level they are now. Politically, nothing was happening publicly for people to see. But after I came back, after I shared my message with the world, and with people knowing that I am a strong supporter of President Trump – an early supporter, as the president himself has said, one who stood with him even before he announced he was running for office – I spoke out. I was not someone who just jumped on the bandwagon later. I was there because God told me to serve this man, and I have been serving him faithfully ever since, and serving our nation as well. When I returned to the United States, nobody was speaking about Ukraine until I began sharing my message across the world – with the president, with every leader in the United States I had direct access to. I showed the pictures, I spoke about the devastation, I told them about the 20,000 missing children who were kidnapped, about the churches that had been bombed, and the destruction inflicted by the Russian Federation on innocent people – not combat soldiers, but innocent civilians. I described the intentional bombardment of apartment buildings, churches, schools, and hospitals, all deliberately targeted by the Russian Federation. This is not by accident. These are intentional killings of innocent, non-combatant people, and they are direct violations of the Geneva Conventions of war. Since I began sharing this truth, I can tell you that from then until now, support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people has grown significantly, especially among Republicans.Of course, there will always be disinformation and fake news, but I have been combating it. People who know me understand why the president calls me his pitbull. He says that because I do not speak fluff. I speak the truth. And whether it is popular or not, if it is right, I will say it. That has always been my way.Even when many wanted me to stop supporting Donald Trump, I continued to stand by him. Supporting President Trump was not always popular, but it was right. God gave me the word to support the man who was chosen to lead our nation. They threw everything at him. They even tried to kill him twice. But the hand of God has sustained him, and the hand of God remains upon his life. And so I am telling you firsthand, knowing the president and knowing the heartbeat of this nation, there is stronger support for Ukraine now than ever before. That is why you are seeing real action. That is why you are seeing President Trump moving with even greater determination. That is why he is taking these threats from Russia so seriously – as a direct threat against the United States of America. This is not only an attack on Ukraine. It is a direct attack against our nation and against our way of life in America. The president knows this. And I ask you to let the Ukrainian people know: more and more people in this great nation stand behind Ukraine. You are not alone. So I am not just speaking empty words – I am declaring with full conviction that, God forbid, if we must attack Russia directly with the full might of the United States military, we will do whatever it takes to support our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. Ukraine is a sovereign nation, not to be looked down upon. There is great strength, great resources, and great power in the nation of Ukraine.Under your strong leadership, your country will rise greater than ever before. You may be a young nation, yes, but you are a true peer among nations. You are sovereign. That is why we are fighting for Ukraine. That is why Europe is rising up for Ukraine. Not because you are some small or insignificant nation, but because you are a key strategic partner in Europe, and your sovereignty must be defended.
