Speaking at the Yalta European Strategy meeting, Zelenskyy told the audience:“I would also like to express my special gratitude to General Kellogg: indeed, we did not know this before, but it turns out that the United States has air defense systems that are no worse than Patriot. This is true, General, they say this every time you are here. When you are in Kyiv, Keith Kellogg, Kyiv residents can definitely get some sleep. I would like you to visit all cities in Ukraine. We would really like to have a few more such American systems for our country. And this is not really a joke. Honestly.”The president emphasized that Russia restrains from killings during Kellogg’s visits.“Perhaps this could be a way to implement the ceasefire that President Trump mentioned back in February. I am ready to grant General Kellogg citizenship, an apartment, and everything he needs if it helps make Russia halt its attacks,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that this tendency has not been observed with representatives of other countries in Kyiv regarding Russia’s attacks. He suggested it might work with a Chinese representative, “but it seems China is not interested in stopping, if not the entire war, then at least the strikes.”“I remember when the Chinese representative went to Russia, they actually sent us a note, sent all the signals from Beijing, signals that we should not use long-range weapons while China was in Russia,” he added. The president stressed that Moscow did not stop its attacks on Ukraine during visits by representatives of international organizations, including the largest ones."When United Nations Secretary-General Guterres was in Kyiv, Putin launched strikes, and even quite demonstratively – the Russians struck not only with drones, but also with missiles. The same thing happened when the OSCE was here, when NATO was here, when the International Monetary Fund mission was here, or anyone else," Zelenskyy recalled. On September 11, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg in Kyiv and discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, pressure on Russia, and the abduction of Ukrainian children.
