Mykola Sunhurovskyi, Director of Military Programs at the Razumkov Center, stated this on Espreso TV."Washington’s reaction to the intrusion of Russian drones into Poland was predictable, as was NATO’s reaction itself. Their claim that the use of force was below the threshold of Article 5 is false," Sunhurovskyi noted.According to the Director of Military Programs at the Razumkov Center, the 1974 UN General Assembly resolution clearly defines the signs of aggression."They argue that not every act of aggression is an attack. In reality, it is the opposite: not every attack is aggression. But if Poland recognized the act as aggression, then it is already an attack. So all these excuses that we have not yet reached the threshold at which Article 5 on collective defense can be applied are fabrications. They are pretexts to avoid direct confrontation with Russia," Sunhurovskyi emphasized. The military expert added that Russia has long been testing NATO. One such attempt, in particular, was the blocking of Ukraine’s NATO membership."After all, it was the fear of confrontation that forced Alliance members not to admit Ukraine into NATO," Sunhurovskyi stressed.Russian drones in Polish airspace: What we knowThe Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces placed air defense and aviation units on high alert following Russia’s night attack on Ukraine on September 10, during which Russian drones entered Polish airspace.
